A combination with No. 16 Daydreamer is recommended for horses that need to be walked again after a period of standing.
For many riders, the idea that the horse could behave in a jumpy and unpredictable manner is a great burden in the relationship between humans and animals. The horse's fear and panic are transferred to the rider, creating a vicious circle. At this point, however, it makes little sense to reproach the rider or the horse. Solutions must be found.

Linus Carl Pauling (two-time Nobel Prize winner from 1901 to 1994) already stated that nutrient deficiencies always show up in the psyche before they manifest themselves physically. Indications of liver weaknesses and dysfunctions in the digestive tract are also often shown by stomach problems, diarrhea and watery stools. Allergic events are also associated with liver function. The liver is strained when it is confronted with an excess of nutrients due to obesity or with harmful metabolic breakdown products in the case of strict diets.

A horse whose metabolism has been overloaded by the above-mentioned stresses usually shows this very quickly in the form of performance depression, fatigue and disorders of the entire immune system, for example chronic bronchitis or sweet itch. Hormonal imbalances and bad moods, as well as aggression and unwilling behavior are also observed with liver problems. If such disorders are first detected in the blood count, there is already something wrong, as the liver is a highly regenerative organ and only shows signs of damage very late.

Bitter substances in horse nutrition:
In nature, horses are not confronted with chemicals or moldy forage or silage. Nevertheless, plants containing bitter substances are part of their natural diet. Surprisingly, horses love bitter plant substances. Anyone who has ever watched the devotion with which bitter dandelions are consumed while grazing can easily understand this. The continuous intake of bitter herbs promotes the secretion of bile and thus maintains the alkaline environment in the intestine. This creates a kind of buffer system that is better able to counteract imbalances. Plants containing bitter substances therefore make an important contribution to the balanced feeding of a horse. This is especially true when horses suffer from laminitis, colic, metabolic and detoxification disorders. Bitter substances keep digestion going and are good for the liver. They increase appetite and help horses with stomach problems. A lack of bitter substances due to one-sided meadow grasses, but also a higher requirement due to circumstances that stress the liver, require nutritive support for the horse.

A nutritional building block for the whole year:
Feeding herbs and roots containing bitter substances is particularly important during coat changes, after worming, when horses lose their zest for life or when they are under great stress and literally can no longer digest it. Bitter substances can be fed safely all year round. If the quality of hay, straw or grain is poor and there is no alternative, or if silage is fed or the pasture is one-sided, it makes sense to feed bitter herbs to promote the flow of bile and improve the intestinal environment.

The need for bitter secondary plant substances increases when introducing a diet for horses suffering from laminitis, ECS or EMS to facilitate the removal of metabolic metabolites via the bile. You are also welcome to discuss this with your vet. The trace element zinc is known for its outstanding importance in the regeneration of cells, the immune system and in detoxification processes throughout the metabolism. Zinc deficiencies in horses very frequently manifest themselves in skin and hoof problems, often in itching and allergies. Deficiencies can lead to a general weakening of the immune system and susceptibility to infections, especially during the shedding period.

Mauke, rash, manure and diarrhea as well as the dreaded sweet itch and poor wound healing can be external signs of a deficient situation. Zinc deficiency can also lead to mucosal and fertility disorders. Mucous membranes are located in the gastrointestinal tract, in the respiratory and lung area and in the uterus. Emaciation and loss of appetite as well as a tendency to parasite infestation can also be signs of an inadequate zinc supply, as can nervousness and "ghost vision". The trace element zinc is the biochemical basis for the conversion of ß-carotene into vitamin A and the necessary activation of the vitamins of the B-complex.

The zinc content in hay and other basic feeds has fallen significantly for over 10 years, so that a significant zinc supplement is advisable at least during the change of coat and in genetically predisposed horses (special breeds, ponies).

How do nutrient deficiencies in the trace element zinc manifest themselves?
Skin and hoof problems in horses (itching, poorly healing wounds, parakeratosis, mauke, eczema, hoof rot) can be attributed to a deficiency in the trace element zinc. Other signs of a zinc deficiency in horses can be a weak immune system, a tendency to allergies and detoxification disorders. Feed calculations, hair mineral analyses or blood tests support the diagnosis. Zinc deficiencies in horses are very common and can be caused by an inadequate supply via the basic feed or a pure hay diet. Zinkurasan vet can be described as a very special zinc supplement. In contrast to other products, it differs not only in terms of the quantity and bioavailability of the zinc compounds used, but also in terms of the carrier material. The special feature of Zinkurasan vet, as with all dr.Weyrauch products, is that selected herbs, roots and fruits are used in a very special weighting to determine the reliability and speed of nutrient transport, which has been scientifically confirmed.

Purely organically bound zinc was chosen for this high-quality product to ensure extremely good availability. This was embedded in a base of pure fruit, herb and spice components in order to promote the transport of zinc via the digestive system through the blood into the cells. dr.Weyrauch Zink has been developed on the basis of many years of scientific work and is highly recommended by modern veterinarians and alternative practitioners. With Zinkurasan vet from dr.Weyrauch, the large horse is supplied with an additional 450 to 900 mg of zinc in the form of zinc amino acid chelate by feeding one to two measuring spoons (10 to 30 g) per day. Feeding is continuous (without daily breaks). After operations, injuries and infections as well as severe wound infections, the zinc requirement increases several times over. In such cases, Zinkurasan vet can be fed in double dosage for a week at short notice. In the case of feed-related sweet itch, the amount fed depends on the intensity of the itching as a measure of the zinc status. Constant feeding over a period of three months requires consultation, as long-term zinc supplementation could provoke copper and manganese deficiencies. Care should be taken to ensure that other trace elements such as iron, zinc, copper and selenium are supplied in line with requirements through mineralized feeding (e.g. Dr. Weyrauch No. 4 Gold Value) in order to avoid any displacement reactions.

Composition

Dried herbs (parsley, basil, oregano, coriander, rosemary)

Dried fruit (rosehip, fennel)

cinnamon bark

Additives/kg
Zinc from amino acid zinc chelate hydrate (3b606) 30,000 mg

Analytical constituents:
Crude protein 20.5%, crude fat 8.2%, crude fiber 9.8%, crude ash 11.5%, sodium 0.1%

Feeding recommendation

15 to 30g daily (1 to 2 measuring spoons), correspondingly less for small horses and ponies. Feeding trials have clearly shown that Dr. WEYRAUCH Mg Magnesium is readily eaten by horses and has a rapid effect. A 10-day feeding trial on 20 horses with proven magnesium deficits in the blood showed significantly more composure and calmness. Comparisons with the feeding of pure chemical magnesium citrate showed that magnesium citrate in combination with a specific herbal potpourri accelerates and secures transportation. With 3 measuring spoons of magnesium (45g), the large horse receives a highly bioavailable 5 grams of magnesium, which can be made available to the metabolism immediately. This is particularly interesting for horses during or after hospital stays, for actively used high-performance and sport horses as well as mares in premature labor. Deficits detected in the blood are compensated for in this way within 14 days. The horses appear more relaxed, more rideable and calmer. We consider the use of Mg Magnesium in young horses in training to be obligatory. The horse's magnesium requirement increases dramatically during periods of physical growth, during physical exertion due to muscle development and in stressful situations. Covering the magnesium requirement with hay is subject to fluctuations. Compensation with inorganic salts is questionable compared to organically bound compounds. This is why horse owners often have the feeling that a magnesium supplement would not have helped. Magnesium supplementation should be considered for blood values below 0.8 mmol/l. Magnesium plays a significant role in the formation of the bone matrix. The proportion of magnesium in bone is actually almost 12 percent. A magnesium deficiency can therefore impair the structure and elasticity of bones, as well as the quality of teeth. Even with sufficient calcium intake, sufficient calcification of the bone is not guaranteed - due to the reduced effectiveness of parathyroid hormone and vitamin D3 caused by the magnesium deficiency (Jeroch/Simon/Zentek 2012). A magnesium deficiency can lead to pathological calcium deposits. Muscle metabolism is disturbed and manifests itself in over-acidified, cramped muscles that do not want to loosen, which can also spread to the digestive area. A combination of Konstruktor vet and No. 19 Mordskerl or No. 1 Alles fliesst! is recommended to improve muscle building and physical development, not only in young horses. Damage to tendons, ligaments and joints in horses is one of those diseases that are protracted and often have an uncertain prognosis. This is because the healing of these connective tissue structures is complicated due to the special composition of the tissue. The superficial flexor tendon, the deep flexor tendon or the fetlock carrier are usually affected. The tendon tissue itself is made up of extremely strong connective tissue. This consists mainly of collagen fibres arranged in parallel and organized in bundles. If damage occurs, whether due to an injury or wear-related changes, these correctly arranged longitudinal structures become tattered. It takes several weeks for the fibers to realign themselves next to and against each other. In this process, the tendon cells (tenocytes) are enabled to build up collagenous connective tissue. As the tissue has little blood supply and nutrients only reach the connective tissue by diffusion, it is more difficult to supply the tendon cells. The same applies in the broadest sense to the formation of cartilage structures. A special feature of collagenous connective tissue is the high content of the amino acids glycine (35%), proline (21%), hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine. The peptide chains of collagen contain glycine in every third position and are also linked to carbohydrates such as glucose and galactose. Collagen is made up of three peptide chains, a so-called triple helix. The amino acid glycine is not essential, but is important for the formation of haemoglobin, bile acids, creatine, choline, purine nucleic acids and glutathione (free radical scavenger). Glycine is considered the amino acid for youthfulness and accelerates growth and development. It is structurally important for bones, cartilage, skin, tendons and teeth. A lack of glycine can lead to the breakdown of collagenous connective tissue. The amino acid proline is also non-essential and the precursor to hydroxyproline and determines the mechanical properties of collagen. It therefore has a direct influence on the quality of connective tissue (vascular stability, tissue regeneration), as it is responsible for the folding of the proteins, i.e. the spatial structure. So-called collagen hydrolyzate has been used successfully in horse feed for some time and has been proven in human studies. It supplies small peptide chains that primarily contain the desired composition of amino acids. Collagen hydrolysate is obtained from collagen by enzymatic means, purified, concentrated, sterilized and ground. In this form, it is water-soluble and bioavailable. The need for building blocks for the rapid formation of collagenous connective tissue can be increased in special situations in horses, for example in the case of tendon damage, the restoration of damaged joints and the reconstruction of cartilage tissue.

Composition

Collagen hydrolyzate, rose hip fruits, yeast preparation (rich in nucleotides), dried herbs (verbena, coriander, rosemary), milk thistle seeds, hawthorn blossoms, bamboo shoots, linseed, turmeric root, cloves.

Analytical constituents:

Crude protein 64 %, crude fat 3 %, crude fiber 9 %, crude ash 4 %, sodium 0 %

Feeding recommendation

Large horses 60g (4 scoops) daily, less for small horses.

Daily feeding to young horses or horses in sporting training to improve the quality of the protein supply for joints, tendons and ligaments is possible without further ado.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0858/8053/7386/files/Dr.WeyrauchKonstruktorvet_60f1649d-58e5-4535-9edf-b886c9113144.jpg?v=1741090268
dr-weyrauch-nr9-leben-ist-bewegung
Dr. Weyrauch No.9 Life is movement
Dr. Weyrauch No.9 Life is Movement is a proven combination of herbs, flowers and fruits that are particularly rich in secondary plant substances.

Dr. Weyrauch No.9 Life is Movement - 1.2kg

Dr.Weyrauch No.9 Life is Movement is a proven combination of herbs, flowers and fruits that are particularly rich in secondary plant substances. In really severe cases, No. 3 Dragon Slayer should also be considered

This is due to the special structure of the cartilage and tendon tissue. This is an extremely cell-poor tissue that is not supplied with blood and is subject to its own laws. Only 3% of the cells are located in a so-called extracellular matrix, a gelatinous mass of chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid and collagen. The matrix serves to protect the cartilage cells and fulfills the shock-absorbing function that is so characteristic of cartilage. The task of the cartilage cells, in turn, is to produce precisely this extracellular matrix and thus to build up and regenerate the cartilage. It is therefore easy to understand how important it is to maintain the viability of these few cells. Maintaining the viability of the cartilage cells, protecting and supporting them is paramount and depends on a healthy metabolism. The waste products produced by the cells must therefore be removed. If this works well, the cartilage cells enjoy particularly long life and high activity, which in turn enables a high regenerative capacity of the extracellular matrix and thus protection of the cartilage cells.

Composition

Dried herbs (nettle, horsetail, verbena, birch, hawthorn, dandelion, horse chestnut, thyme, sage, rosemary, basil), rosehip fruit, artichoke, elderflower, garlic.

Analytical constituents:

crude protein 10%, crude fat 5%, crude fiber 22%, crude ash 7%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation

daily 20 to 30g (2 to 3 measuring spoons) per horse and day, small horses and ponies correspondingly less.

Please note that herbal preparations, in particular this valuable product, supplement the diet in a very special way, but are no substitute for mineralization in line with requirements. Jumpiness, tanned legs or a peculiarly sweet, urea-like coat odor, sometimes also muscle stiffness, are just a few characteristics that indicate a detoxification disorder and a certain kidney weakness in the horse. This is not even that rare. It makes sense to change the horse's diet. The total protein ration should be reduced. This can be achieved by significantly reducing the amount of pasture grass, partially replacing hay with straw and feeding more oil and less grain. Sugar beet pulp is particularly low in protein. In the wild, horses can supplement their rations themselves with herbs rich in saponins. Saponins are carbohydrate-like secondary plant substances that usually have an extremely bitter taste. Horses accept and love this bitter taste. The combination with natural vitamin E, mangosteen extract and grape seeds has created a highly efficient nutritional supplement for horses that is particularly rich in antioxidant nutrients. These include oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC), catechins (anthocyanidins), polyphenols and quercetin. The binder-, flavor- and additive-free preparation, the citrate form of the magnesium and the use of only natural vitamin E make No. 7 Fountain of Youth an excellent feed supplement for horses, especially for active seniors or young horses in training. The need for vitamin E increases significantly due to particular sporting challenges, during growth and in training situations, during forced muscle development and in old age. Half of the vitamin E in the body is found in the mitochondria, the cell's power plants, where fat is constantly converted into energy. Here there is a constant risk of toxic peroxides being produced during periods of high performance. The more energy has to be generated (high-performance athletes, stress), the more glucose and fat are oxidized and the higher the risk of destructive free radicals being produced. Vitamin E therefore provides important protection for energy and fat metabolism. This makes vitamin E the cell protection vitamin par excellence. Another effect of vitamin E is to protect against inflammation in the joints (e.g. in arthritis) through its role as an inhibitor of pro-inflammatory substances (leukotrienes). The need for vitamin E increases in diseases in which inflammation plays a role, such as laminitis, tendon injuries or muscle inflammation. In the event of a vitamin E deficiency, the cells can no longer be adequately protected. Natural vitamin E is far superior to synthetic vitamin E. In contrast to the synthetic vitamin E usually used in animal feed, natural vitamin E is characterized by the fact that it can be detected in the periphery and in the blood for a very long time. This high availability is already evident with moderate amounts. Synthetic vitamin E, on the other hand, is only 50% effective (Schmidt and Schmidt, "Leitfaden der Mikronährstoffe", Verlag Urban und Fischer 2004). Older horses and seniors in particular are characterized by a nutrient deficiency of the above-mentioned nutrients. This often manifests itself in tarnished forelegs and reluctance to move despite the warm weather. A balanced feed and nutrient supply gives older horses in particular the chance of a carefree life and activity into old age. Frequently recurring colic, heavy defecation with solid apples, anxiety, sensitivity to the weather and cardiovascular problems, as well as thirst, excessive sweating and muscle tension can be an indication of a magnesium deficiency in horses. magnesium's role in muscle metabolism is to reduce the influx of calcium into the muscle cells and thus relax the muscle. A magnesium deficiency can therefore lead to tension and cramps. This can affect the skeletal muscles or the heart as a so-called hollow muscle. Magnesium deficiencies can also manifest themselves as spasms of the smooth muscles. Smooth muscles cannot be controlled by the conscious mind and are found in internal organs such as the intestines, respiratory tract, blood vessels, urinary and genital organs. Magnesium deficiencies in the blood count (values below 0.7 mmol/l) must be taken very seriously, as the magnesium reserves in the bones have already been progressively activated.

Composition

Magnesium tricitrate, dried herbs (hawthorn, gingko, lemon balm, rosemary), dried fruits and seeds (rose hip, magnostane, fennel, grape seeds), galangal root, evening primrose oil

Additives/kg:

Vitamin E

as natural vitamin E (3a700) 7.000 mg

Analytical constituents:

Crude protein 9.8%, crude fat 4%, crude fiber 18%, crude ash 12%, magnesium 6.5%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation:

For large horses 30 to 40g daily (approx. 2 measuring spoons), for small horses correspondingly less.

Due to the high density of the product, the filling level in the 500g pack seems too low.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0858/8053/7386/files/Dr.WeyrauchNr.07Jungbrunnen_7b083783-64f3-4602-a0f3-10ac01e58cbf.jpg?v=1741090266
dr-weyrauch-nr6-alpenfrische
Dr. Weyrauch No.6 Alpine freshness
Dr. Weyrauch No. 6 Alpenfrische provides very fine tasting food and spice herbs that enrich the horse's diet with precisely those nutrients that are even less abundant in nature during the cold season than in summer.

Dr. Weyrauch No. 6 Alpenfrische - 1.2kg

Dr.Weyrauch No. 6 Alpenfrische has a long history. The homeopathic practitioner Felix Mayer from Munich gave Dr. Weyrauch the herbal mixture of his great-grandfather, who was once a veterinarian in Vienna. Alpenfrische provides herbs and spices with a very fine taste that enrich the horse's diet with precisely those nutrients that are even less abundant in nature during the cold season than in summer. These include terpenes from special herbs. Terpenes are secondary plant substances. Terpenes are fat-soluble and belong to the lipids in the broadest sense. They are primarily known for their antimicrobial effect. Many terpenes have a very pleasant smell. This is why they are also found as a component of essential oils. The causes of coughs are manifold and range from mechanical irritation (food particles, dust, dry air) to allergies (histamine), thermal or chemical stimuli (cold, ammonia exposure) and infectious diseases of viral or bacterial origin. In most cases, two causes come together, for example an infection combined with unfavorable living conditions. To keep the respiratory organs healthy, the body has a kind of self-cleaning mechanism for the mucous membranes, in which mucus is continuously produced. This is known as "pulmonary mucociliary clearance". If a horse falls ill, the mucous membranes become irritated. The inflammation increases the amount of mucus or changes its consistency. In response, more sputum is produced or the mucus becomes viscous and remains in the airways, which can lead to respiratory problems. Spastic reactions are also possible. The vet can provide further information after a thorough examination. The use of many plant substances has traditionally proven effective for acute and chronic respiratory problems. Examples include thyme, licorice and sage. It makes perfect sense to support the horse's diet with nutritious, mucous membrane-caring herbs that are rich in essential oils and so-called terpenes. These include aniseed, fennel and fenugreek seeds, Iceland moss, borage, cowslip, primrose and beavernell root and many others that can no longer be found on today's species-poor pastures.

Composition

Dried herbs (thyme, ribwort, sage, borage), dried fruits and flowers (fennel, aniseed, buckhorn, cowslip), dried roots (licorice, primrose, cowslip), Iceland moss

Analytical ingredients

crude protein 9%, crude fat 2%, crude fiber 28%, crude ash 7%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation

10 to 20g daily (1 to 2 measuring spoons), correspondingly less for ponies and small horses

Please note that pure herbal preparations, especially this valuable recipe, supplement the diet in a very special way, but are no substitute for a mineralization that meets the horse's needs. The ratios of the trace elements to each other are harmonious and are based on the results of many years of research. The binder-, flavor- and additive-free preparation, the absence of added bulk elements such as calcium, phosphorus or magnesium and artificial vitamins as well as the chelated form enable excellent trace element absorption without burdening the metabolism in any way. Compared to many similar products, the risk of disturbing the mineral balance or displacement reactions is extremely low due to the extremely sparing use and high bioavailability that this makes possible. This means that even severe trace element deficiencies can be reliably remedied in the long term. The use of only organically bound trace elements also conserves vitamin reserves (Shurson et al.1996). No. 4 Gold Value is now recommended by many modern vets and alternative practitioners with a clear conscience. Result of the product test at the Ströh company in Hamburg: Grade 1.5! The picture above shows two Arabian yearling mares, photographed in 2011 by Katja Stuppia (www.katjastuppia.ch) in the possession of Christine Pellanda from Feusisberg (Switzerland), fed with No. 4 Goldwert.signs of a deficiency of trace elements are really manifold. They can begin with performance deficits and nervous disorders such as restlessness, jumpiness or mental instability. However, skin, coat and hoof problems also often occur. The change of coat is slow and in older horses the top coat begins to become longer and curlier. The hooves grow slowly, are often brittle or tend to rot. Pigementation disorders and discoloration may occur. Eczema and allergy: In particularly severe deficiency situations, feed-related eczema and itching may develop, as well as immune system disorders such as susceptibility to infections and increased allergy tendencies. Chronic bronchitis, digestive disorders with diarrhea or a tendency to defecate can also be caused by a lack of zinc, copper, manganese and selenium, as can tension, muscle problems, cartilage degradation, osteoporosis, bone formation disorders and metabolic problems such as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) or Equine Cushing's Syndrome (ECS). It is particularly regrettable that alternative (subtle) healing methods do not work if a trace element deficiency prevents the regenerative capacity of the tissues as part of the self-healing process (see article: Good nutrition - better healing success). Trace element deficiency in foals - sad certainty: Numerous studies on horses have shown a connection between leg problems and an undersupply of trace elements, especially copper, in foals and growing horses. Zinc, copper, selenium and manganese deficiencies are now scientifically confirmed as the cause of stance faults, short stature, chip formation and osteochondrosis.

Composition

Dried herbs (parsley, coriander, basil, oregano, rosemary, horsetail), dried fruit (rose hip, fennel, milk thistle, juniper, aniseed), dried roots (carrot, beet), dried bark (cinnamon), linseed, garlic

Additives per kilogram:

Zinc as amino acid zinc chelate hydrate (3b606) 12,000 mg

Manganese as amino acid manganese chelate hydrate (3b504) 12,000 mg

Iron as amino acid iron chelate hydrate (3b106) 6,000 mg

Copper as amino acid copper chelate hydrate (3b406) 2,500 mg

Selenium in org. form (3b8.10) as selenium from Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3060 (inactivated selenium yeast) 25 mg

Iodine as potassium iodide (3b201) 50 mg

Cobalt as coated cobalt (II) carbonate granules (3b304) 50 mg

Analytical constituents

crude protein 19%, crude fat 8%, crude fiber 19%, crude ash 11%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation

30 to 45g daily (2 to 3 measuring spoons). This means that even the smallest feeding quantities can be surprising. Like all dr.WEYRAUCH products, No. 3 Dragon Slayer is guaranteed to be free from preservatives, sweeteners, binding agents, flavorings and fillers. We have deliberately avoided green-lipped mussel for animal welfare reasons. No. 3 Dragon Slayer has already caused real astonishment among many horse owners during its launch phase. Now the recipe has been extended and improved, in line with the motto: "The enemy of the good is the better". This excellent product is based on a mixture of herbs and oleaginous fruits. The richness of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (from linseed, hemp seed, evening primrose and borage seed, among others) is now topped by the polyunsaturated docosahexaenoic acid from the algae Schizochytrum limacinum. Older horses in particular or horses that have already been exposed to heavy stress in their lives, but also racehorses in early training, benefit from No. 3 Dragon Slayer, which should be fed in addition to the usual feed ration, preferably enhanced with No. 4 Gold Value or No. 19 Mordskerl as a supplier of valuable trace elements such as zinc, copper, manganese and selenium. Please note that Drachentöter contains plant components, such as devil's claw, which are currently subject to doping regulations. It is therefore advisable to take a four-day break from feeding before the start, as the body's own basic building blocks for healthy cartilage, bone and tendon tissue include the sulphur-containing glucosamine and chondroitin compounds. These are normally formed in the body itself. The need for these high-quality nutrients is particularly high when there are signs of wear and tear or inflammation in the joints or musculoskeletal system. A lack of special nutrients such as manganese, silicon (from millet) or sulphur inhibits the body's own synthesis. As an ad hoc feeding measure, it can therefore be useful to temporarily feed glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate until the body is able to produce the building blocks itself again. Inflammation in the body is often provoked by excessive levels of free radicals. Normally, antioxidant systems ensure that these cell-destroying molecular compounds are rapidly broken down. An inadequate nutritional supply of antioxidant secondary plant substances or vitamin E as a classic antioxidant restricts the activity of the connective tissue cells involved in the formation of the extracellular matrix. Arthritis, arthrosis, spavin, tendon damage and many other diseases of the musculoskeletal system can now be attributed to long-term nutritional deficiencies, among other things. In certain situations, a lack of nutrients can make it impossible to combat inflammation. The Dragon Slayer provides nutrients that are specifically required in old age as well as in special life situations in which more movement potential is required.

Composition

Oilseeds (linseed, hemp seed, borage seed and evening primrose seed), dried herbs (meadowsweet, mistletoe, horsetail, oregano, goosefoot, tarragon), dried roots (ginger, devil's claw, turmeric, yams), glucosamine sulphate, fruit (rose hips, chokeberry, pomegranate), algae (Schizochytrum limacinum), dried bark (cinnamon, willow), chondroitin sulphate, dried millet extract (containing silicon)

Additives/kg:

natural vitamin E (3a700)

6.000 mg

Analytical constituents:

crude protein 9%, crude fat 7%, crude fiber 6%, crude ash 9%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation

Feeding quantity daily 20 to 30g (1.5 to 2 measuring spoons), in special situations 40g.

This product is doping relevant and should be discontinued at least four days before the start. The cells of the intestinal mucosa and the immune system, which are geared towards rapid regeneration, are particularly dependent on glutamine. As an important building block for protein formation, glutamine is found in high concentrations in muscle cells in particular. Glutamine levels are significantly reduced during intensive training and in older and weaker horses. In the case of EOTRH and other dental diseases, certain nutrients also help to maintain the jawbone. No. 21 Beinhart has already proved very successful in the rearing of foals and young horses. All ingredients are highly bioavailable and embedded in a special plant formula. There is no room for fillers. Vitamin D3 and vitamin K1 are sufficiently supplied. Like all dr.Weyrauch products, No. 21 Beinhart is naturally free from flavorings and preservatives so that the metabolism is not burdened in any way and the synergetic effect of the individual nutrients comes into play. bone structure plays a major role in breeding, in thoroughbred sport or after bone diseases and is significantly influenced by feeding. A nutrient deficiency is unfavorable for the healing of bone fissures and fractures, bone decalcification or degeneration, as well as for the development of healthy bone density, bone growth, bone elasticity and bone regeneration. Bone cysts can also be a sign of a deficiency of certain trace substances. No. 21 Beinhart provides a complex nutrient formulation of vine leaves and verbena, vitamin D, vitamin K1 and the trace elements necessary for the formation of the bone matrix. It is not primarily the bulk elements calcium and phosphorus, which are generally provided in excess or in sufficient quantities in the basic feed, but magnesium, trace elements and special vitamins that have a direct influence on bone health. The reliability of the binding form is also important. Vitamin D has a direct influence on calcium and phosphate metabolism and promotes mineralization and hardening of the bone. The latest research results also show the involvement of vitamin D in many metabolic processes in the body such as muscle metabolism and the defense against infections. The body's own vitamin D synthesis is generally regulated by exposure to the sun. Poor weather conditions, covering the horses, keeping them in stables only or liver problems can make additional supplementation advisable. Vitamin K1 also plays a significant role in the effect on bone strength. In nature, this fat-soluble vitamin, also known as phylloquinone, is mainly found in the chloroplasts of green plants. It supports the formation of osteocalcin, a peptide hormone that increases calcium binding and promotes bone mineralization. This requires a higher vitamin K level than is necessary for blood clotting. Osteocalcin also has a blood sugar-lowering and fat-reducing function and thus has a preventive effect against EMS. Furthermore, vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) can provide valuable services for pulmonary haemophiliacs, as it reduces the tendency to bleed. This effect also comes into play in acute injuries (bruising). The trace elements manganese and copper help to build up the bone matrix (osteoid). The trace element boron is contained in vine leaves. Vine leaves and verbena are traditionally regarded as bone-forming. The multiple nutrient deficiencies that occur in the context of hoof problems are quickly compensated for by this product, which in many cases is not only apparent to the animal owner himself but is also recognizable during treatment, to the astonishment of farriers or hoof care professionals. Good horn quality and a stable hoof sole are essential, especially when switching to bare hooves, so feeding the horse according to its needs should also be in the interests of the hoof trimmer. Hoof problems in horses can present themselves in many different ways. In most cases, the hoof reflects the horse's nutrition and metabolism. Hoof problems are usually silent harbingers of other diseases and should therefore always be taken very seriously. The horse's hoof is a highly complex, living and metabolically active structure. The growth and stability of the hoof wall depend on a well supplied with blood hoof corium. A sensitive vascular network ensures that nutrients are transported into and toxins out of the horn capsule. The coffin bone itself is embedded in a buffer (coffin bone support) which is strongly characterized by connective tissue and whose stability, cushioning and elasticity are crucial for the functioning of the supporting and locomotor apparatus and is connected to the hoof capsule. Specific nutrients are of the utmost importance for hoof quality and growth.

A lack of these nutrients will not only affect the hoof itself but also the health of the horse.

In summary, however, there are other considerations for a healthy hoof structure:

Nutrient supply for optimal tissue development

Removal of toxins and metabolic metabolites

deacidification

Activation of detoxification organs (liver)

Activation of blood circulation (cardiovascular system)

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)

The importance of polyunsaturated fatty acids for the health of horses is well known. The metabolically complex conversion of omega-3 fatty acids into the effective docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid is what makes healthy cell wall structure possible in the first place. The two fatty acids increase their elasticity and viscosity. Due to their large surface area, nerve cells in particular contain the highest proportion of cell wall. Accordingly, DHA and EPA are mainly enriched in the brain and the retina of the eye. The elasticity of the membranes is of great importance for the red blood cells, which transport oxygen in the body, especially in the area of the finest capillaries. These fatty acids are therefore also of great importance for general blood circulation and in particular for supplying the hoof complex. DHA and EPA have an immunomodulating effect and are involved in combating inflammation. Like many other nutritional vectors, they are also involved in the structure of the organic and inorganic components of the bone. When horses graze, they take in plenty of omega-3 fatty acids from the fresh grass, but only a maximum of 10% of these are converted into docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid via a complicated and zinc-consuming metabolic pathway. In nature, these omega-3 fatty acids are produced by algae and gradually accumulate via marine life. High levels are therefore found in salmon or herring oil. The reliable supply of DHA and EPA to the horse is problematic with the latter oils, as horses do not like to eat fish. The specially cultivated algae Schizochytrium limacinumn with a high content of DHA and EPA therefore offers a modern alternative. The role of biotin lies in its function as a coenzyme of so-called carboxylases. This vitamin from the group of B vitamins is involved in protein synthesis in the liver, among other things. Its sphere of action is far-reaching. In addition to gluconeogenesis, biotin is also enzymatically involved in the conversion of propionic acid, the breakdown of the amino acid leucine and the synthesis of fatty acids. A lack of biotin can lead to scabby skin, hair loss, hoof damage and the development of a fatty liver. Biotin has been proven to improve hoof growth. The supply of protein building blocks to build up the hoof corium, hoof capsule and sole horn is of great importance. The conversion of feed protein into the body's own protein is not only dependent on the supply of the individual amino acids but also on the body's own synthesis capacity in the liver. The build-up of high-quality hoof components therefore always requires an intact liver function. Traditionally, milk thistle and gentian root improve liver metabolism, protein biosynthesis and the structure of the hoof. Blood circulation and deacidification of the hoof corium can be supported In addition to the growth and development of the hoof, the supply of nutrients to the hoof is particularly important. Blood circulation is particularly important and is supported by nutrients that improve blood flow, keep the capillary structure supple and promote the removal of toxins. Deficiencies in nutrients such as magnesium, circulation-promoting herbs such as hawthorn or gingko, antioxidant secondary plant substances such as reservatrol from red grapes or enzyme-active trace elements not only jeopardize the supply of nutrients to the hoof, but also increase the likelihood of laminitis developing. From the point of view of nutritional medicine, the occurrence of thrush usually indicates a lack of hoof growth and a weak immune system. The trace element zinc plays an important role here. An adequate supply of zinc, especially in times of increased zinc requirements (coat change, growth, pregnancy), keeps a large proportion of opportunistic diseases of various kinds (herpes, bacterial infections, parasite infestations and fungal diseases) at bay. Stable connective tissue plays a special role in sensitive hooves, periostitis and laminitis. The frog pad or cushion made of fibrous connective tissue, in whose structure manganese and copper are involved to a large extent as trace elements, must be stabilized in the long term. This also applies to the coronet and pad. The latter in particular is rich in proteoglycans, which can cushion the bale due to their extreme water-binding capacity. The fat-soluble vitamins include vitamins A, D, E and K, while the water-soluble vitamins include vitamin C and the B vitamins. Vitamin B12, which contains cobalt, is of particular interest here. A lack of vitamin B12 is held responsible for the development of nitrosative stress (and the resulting mitochondriopathies), which in turn is said to be the cause of the development of so-called multisystem diseases (exhaustion, listlessness, muscle and joint pain, concentration problems, mental difficulties and depression). Vitamin B12 is involved in a metabolic system that intercepts aggressive nitric oxide radicals and thus promotes cell respiration and health. Vitamin B12 is indispensable in competitive sport. A sufficient supply of vitamin B12 ensures robust, crisp red blood cells that transport the oxygen we breathe in through the smallest capillaries to the periphery of the body. This improves blood flow to the muscles, brain, skin and internal organs, which is extremely beneficial not only for top athletes but also for very old horses. An adequate supply of vitamin B, lecithin and glutamine is important for the regeneration of nerve cells. A vitamin B deficiency leads to nervous disorders, brain development disorders, psychoses and many other mental problems. While vitamin B1 deficiency also leads to cramps and paralysis, vitamin B2 deficiency is more likely to cause mucous membrane and skin problems. Vitamin B6 deficiency leads to disorders of the nervous tissue and a lack of muscle development. Biotin acts as a coenzyme. In deficiency experiments, muscle and skin problems as well as hair growth disorders were observed. Biotin is said to stimulate hoof growth. The activation of many B vitamins is dependent on an adequate supply of trace elements. This is not insignificant in view of the KPU discussion. Vitamin D is currently the focus of nutritional research. As the body's own production is not sufficient, at least in humans, supplementation is recommended. A vitamin D deficiency is associated with disorders of insulin metabolism and increased inflammation. An increased intake of vitamin D was able to significantly reduce insulin resistance in human patients with glucose intolerance (Pharmazeutische Zeitung June 2012). Vitamin D and vitamin K not only stabilize bones but also strengthen the immune system and appear to have a significant effect in combating obesity and EMS. Such findings can certainly be transferred to horses.

Composition

Bilberry, pomegranate peel, lecithin, blackcurrant, aronia berry, alfalfa extract, goji berry extract.

Additives/kg:

Vitamin A as retinyl acetate (3a672a) 75,000 I.U.

Vitamin E (natural) (3a700) 10,000 mg

Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol (3a671) 37,500 I.U.

ß-carotene (3a160(a)) 2,500 mg

Vitamin C as L-ascorbic acid (3a300) 25,000 mg

Vitamin B1 as thiamine hydrochloride (3a820) 1,750 mg

Vitamin B2 as riboflavin (3a825i) 500 mg

Vitamin B3 as niacin (3a314) 1,250 mg

Vitamin B5 as calcium D-pantothenate (3a841) 1,250 mg

Vitamin B6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride (3a831) 1,250 mg

Folic acid (3a316) 500 mg

Biotin (3a880) 25,000 mcg

Vitamin B12 cobalamin 50,000 mcg

Choline as choline chloride (3a890) 15,000 mg

Carnitine as carnitine tartrate (3a911) 30,000 mg

L-glutamine 75,000 mg

Analytical ingredients:

crude protein 10%, crude fat 6%, crude fiber 3%, crude ash 5%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation

Feeding quantity 20 to 40g (1 to 2 measuring spoons) per horse and day, ponies and small horses correspondingly less.

Due to the increased vitamin content, please do not feed more than 80g per horse per day.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0858/8053/7386/files/Dr.WeyrauchNr.17FeuerstrahlHorse_db0ea147-c8e0-4319-aabe-e39b99cff7d0.jpg?v=1741090260
pernaturam-hagebuttenfruechte-geschrotet
PerNaturam Rosehip fruits, ground
PerNaturam rosehip fruits, ground, are used to supply vital nutrients.

PerNaturam Rosehip fruits, crushed - 6kg

PerNaturam rosehip fruits, ground, are rich in vitamin C, K, beta-carotene and antioxidants. These elements are present in exactly the same proportions as in the composition of sweat. Pharmahorse Electrolytes immediately supplements deficiencies in the correct ratio, which corresponds to that of sweat. During exertion, horses sweat and lose essential salts, also known as minerals. They lose these not only when sweating, but also through urine and manure. Particular attention must be paid to this in warm weather in summer. At high temperatures and high humidity, sweat loss during exertion can be up to 15 liters per hour, so it is very important to supplement this loss in good time to avoid discomfort caused by deficiencies.

- Sodium chloride
Sodium helps to keep blood pressure stable, which is important during exertion. A lot of sodium is lost through sweat during exertion. A lot of sodium is also lost during dehydration. PharmaHorse Electrolytes contains a high responsible dosage to supplement these deficiencies.

- Potassium chloride
Like sodium, potassium's osmotic effect in combination with sodium helps to activate the sodium-potassium pump. This transport system is essential for the transmission of nerve impulses. Potassium is contained in green grass. Stable horses often lack this and therefore this dietary supplement with sufficient sodium and potassium is essential.

- Citrate
Citrates are negatively charged molecules that contribute to the buffering capacity of electrolytes. PharmaHorse Electrolytes contains both bicarbonates and citrates, whose effects reinforce each other.

- Magnesium sulphate
Magnesium is an important mineral for the optimal functioning of muscles. It does this in two steps. For the second step, it needs the B vitamins - especially B6 and B12, which are produced in the intestine by special intestinal bacteria. If the intestinal flora is disrupted so that not enough B6 and B12 are produced and absorbed, the result is KPU - kryptopyrroluria. The deficiency can lead to severe liver damage. The gifts are temporarily stored in the connective tissue, in tendons and ligaments and in the intercellular space. If the deficiency in B6 and B12 persists, the body uses an emergency exit. The substances from the first detoxification step are primarily linked to zinc, but also selenium, manganese or iron, so that these minerals are otherwise no longer available. A gradual deficiency of these trace elements develops.
EquiKPU compensates for the lack of vitamin B6, B12 and, above all, zinc, so that the liver can function normally again. However, the solution to the KPU problem must be a hot one: During the transitional period of a maximum of six months in which the deficiencies are compensated with EquiKPU, the intestine or its intestinal flora must be rehabilitated.
