    Description
  • Dr. Weyrauch No.13 Siegfried - 1.2kg

Dr. Weyrauch No.13 Siegfried is a pure herbal preparation, in which aromatic native herbs and plants, but also those found worldwide, have been combined and which horses really like to eat! It can be fed all year round. As the constant treatment of horses with medical-chemical worming cures, which is currently still unavoidable, can lead to resistance in the parasites, it is important to reduce the worming pressure through care and nutritional measures. Numerous special herbs and roots have this property and have been used in nutrition for centuries for precisely this reason. Even if they cannot replace traditional worming treatments, they make life quite uncomfortable for all ecto- and endoparasites.

    Less attraction for flying insects
The body odor and pH value of the horse's skin can be changed through nutritional measures so that flying insects are less likely to settle on the horse. This becomes important when the horse starts to sweat and the usual fly repellent sprays lose their effectiveness.
How do herbs help to combat endo- and ectoparasites?
In many countries around the world, neither humans nor animals have access to chemicals to protect themselves from parasites such as worms, mites, ticks or other biting insects. If you look at the eating habits of the people there, you will notice that the food is prepared with special spices.
These include special herbs such as garlic, wormwood or burdock, but also aromatic spices such as cinnamon, fennel, peppermint or thyme, which are rejected by flying insects or ticks. Ticks do not like the vapors produced by the special herbal feed at all!
Worms: Supportive nutrition with herbs is recommended for heavily wormed horses in parallel with chemical worming (to prevent resistance). It is best to feed two weeks before and two weeks after worming or in the case of heavy infestation by flying insects. Short-term feeding is even recommended for ticks and flying insects. For competition riders, feeding must be stopped 48 hours before the start.
