    Description
  • Dr. Weyrauch No.21 Leg Hard - 1.5kg

Dr. Weyrauch Nr.21 Beinhartis a high quality mineralizing product created to meet the additional nutritional requirements needed to breed and raise high class horses. In the case of bone fissures and fractures, bone cysts, bone decalcification or degeneration, No. 21 Beinhart is used as part of veterinary treatment if there is a nutrient deficiency or increased nutrient requirement. In the case of EOTRH and other dental diseases, certain nutrients also help to maintain the jawbone. No. 21 Beinhart has already proved very successful in the rearing of foals and young horses. All ingredients are highly bioavailable and embedded in a special plant formula. There is no room for fillers. Vitamin D3 and vitamin K1 are sufficiently supplied. Like all dr.Weyrauch products, No. 21 Beinhart is naturally free from flavorings and preservatives so that the metabolism is not burdened in any way and the synergetic effect of the individual nutrients comes into play. bone structure plays a major role in breeding, in thoroughbred sport or after bone diseases and is significantly influenced by feeding. A nutrient deficiency is unfavorable for the healing of bone fissures and fractures, bone decalcification or degeneration, as well as for the development of healthy bone density, bone growth, bone elasticity and bone regeneration. Bone cysts can also be a sign of a deficiency of certain trace substances. No. 21 Beinhart provides a complex nutrient formulation of vine leaves and verbena, vitamin D, vitamin K1 and the trace elements necessary for the formation of the bone matrix. It is not primarily the bulk elements calcium and phosphorus, which are generally provided in excess or in sufficient quantities in the basic feed, but magnesium, trace elements and special vitamins that have a direct influence on bone health. The reliability of the binding form is also important. Vitamin D has a direct influence on calcium and phosphate metabolism and promotes mineralization and hardening of the bone. The latest research results also show the involvement of vitamin D in many metabolic processes in the body such as muscle metabolism and the defense against infections. The body's own vitamin D synthesis is generally regulated by exposure to the sun. Poor weather conditions, covering the horses, keeping them in stables only or liver problems can make additional supplementation advisable. Vitamin K1 also plays a significant role in the effect on bone strength. In nature, this fat-soluble vitamin, also known as phylloquinone, is mainly found in the chloroplasts of green plants. It supports the formation of osteocalcin, a peptide hormone that increases calcium binding and promotes bone mineralization. This requires a higher vitamin K level than is necessary for blood clotting. Osteocalcin also has a blood sugar-lowering and fat-reducing function and thus has a preventive effect against EMS. Furthermore, vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) can provide valuable services for pulmonary haemophiliacs, as it reduces the tendency to bleed. This effect also comes into play in acute injuries (bruising). The trace elements manganese and copper help to build up the bone matrix (osteoid). The trace element boron is contained in vine leaves. Vine leaves and verbena are traditionally regarded as bone-forming. Magnesium and calcium citrate have a deacidifying effect and therefore have a positive effect on the often over-acidified bone metabolism.

  • Feeding recommendation
    • 3 scoops per day per large horse equals 45g, foals 30g, yearlings and two-year-olds 45g.
    • Due to the increased trace element and vitamin content, please do not feed more than 120g per horse per day.
    • No. 21 Beinhart exactly meets the nutritional requirements of the affected horses and thus serves to improve their well-being. The additional feeding of an "all-in-one" mineral feed is not necessary. During the change of coat and the cold season we recommend the additional feeding of No. 17 Fire Ray.
