    Description
  • Dr. Weyrauch No. 25 Bird Free Powder - 1kg

Dr. Weyrauch No.25 Vogelfrei-Pulveris a composition of glucosamine sulphate, turmeric, glutamine, carnitine, taurine, special B vitamins and grape seeds in a rose hip lecithin blend. As part of cell regeneration, the activity of the mitochondria (the cell's energy power plants) and general protection against cell destruction, the need for very special nutrients is increased. This is particularly true for high-performance sport horses, senior horses, metabolically labile horses and convalescents. Cell activation not only benefits cartilage and heart tissue, but all other cell structures in the body.

    • Taurine is normally synthesized by the body itself. In older, weakened or very stressed individuals, however, synthesis may lag behind requirements. It is an effective antioxidant and is also able to bind biocides (exogenous substances such as chemicals, drugs and other possible toxins) in the liver and eliminate them. Its importance for the nervous system is shown in the brain and eyes. Taurine plays an important role in digestion and fat absorption.
    • Carnitine is of paramount importance in energy metabolism, as it is a transport molecule that channels fatty acids into the mitochondria. This process is dominant for the function of the muscles, especially the heart muscle. Like taurine, it plays a major role in liver detoxification for the elimination of exogenous substances.
    • Glutamine is a building block and starting material for the synthesis of glutathione, which acts as an antioxidant in the tissue. Its conversion to gamma-amino-butyric acid (GABA) also leads to an improvement in insulin secretion and reduces the accumulation of fatty tissue in the intestinal wall.
    • Glutamine is considered a semi-essential amino acid whose requirement can be increased in certain situations and can then no longer be synthesized by the body in sufficient form. Glutamine is involved in the production of purines, pyrimidines and nucleotides. The cells of the intestinal mucosa and the immune system, which are geared towards rapid regeneration, are particularly dependent on glutamine. As an important building block for protein formation, glutamine is found in high concentrations in muscle cells in particular. Glutamine levels are significantly reduced during intensive training and in older and weaker horses. Glutamine promotes water retention in cells, thus increasing cell volume and improving the transport of nutrients such as carbohydrates and amino acids.
    • Glucosamine sulphate is an essential building block for the regeneration of joint cartilage, tendons and ligaments and contributes to the improvement of hooves and horn.
    • Turmeric contains the active ingredient curcumin. Among other things, this inhibits the enzymes cyclooxygenase-2, lipoxygenase and NO synthase. These enzymes trigger inflammation and pain.

New and better results can only be expected if changes are made to the existing system. This includes rethinking the basic feed ration (no haylage, no flavourings and preservatives), a mineralization that really meets requirements (e.g. with No. 1 Alles fliesst or No. 21 Beinhart) and the use of physiotherapists to improve joint symmetry in the case of movement disorders. We achieved the first results with No. 25 Vogelfrei in our institute for the development of nutritional concepts for horses, especially old horses and horses with movement problems. We were also supported in the evaluation of this product by a whole series of customer horses whose general condition was subjectively significantly improved. Even in unfavorable seasons, we were able to observe an increase in the joy of movement, an improved general appearance and a healthy psyche. We assume that mitochondrial health is not only important for joint metabolism but also for the general well-being of the horse. We can also be sure that No. 25 Vogelfrei is also suitable for improving the general condition of high-performance sport horses.
