Dr.Weyrauch No.9 Life is Movement is a proven combination of herbs, flowers and fruits that are particularly rich in secondary plant substances. Rosehip, nettle, verbena, birch, dandelion and many others make an important nutritive contribution to the metabolism and thus also to the horse's well-being and desire to move, thus enhancing the feed ration.
Important note: A nutrient-balanced feed is the basis for the regeneration of bone, tendon and cartilage tissue. To supplement the classic feed and to cover the trace element requirement, the addition of No. 4 Gold Value and/or Mn Manganese has proven to be effective in particular cases of manganese deficiency. In really severe cases, No. 3 Dragon Slayer should also be considered
This is due to the special structure of the cartilage and tendon tissue. This is an extremely cell-poor tissue that is not supplied with blood and is subject to its own laws. Only 3% of the cells are located in a so-called extracellular matrix, a gelatinous mass of chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid and collagen. The matrix serves to protect the cartilage cells and fulfills the shock-absorbing function that is so characteristic of cartilage. The task of the cartilage cells, in turn, is to produce precisely this extracellular matrix and thus to build up and regenerate the cartilage. It is therefore easy to understand how important it is to maintain the viability of these few cells. Maintaining the viability of the cartilage cells, protecting and supporting them is paramount and depends on a healthy metabolism. The waste products produced by the cells must therefore be removed. If this works well, the cartilage cells enjoy particularly long life and high activity, which in turn enables a high regenerative capacity of the extracellular matrix and thus protection of the cartilage cells.
