    Description
  • Dr. Weyrauch Wundersam - 5kg

Dr.Weyrauch Wun dersam is a finely balanced composition of linseed, sunflower seeds, hemp nuts, whole fennel seeds and ground caraway. It enriches the horse's feed ration with valuable oil and protein components without burdening the balance with starch or sugar. This product is free from cereals and legumes. The advantage of feeding Wundersam (whole and undamaged oilseeds) compared to already pressed oils is that there is no real risk of rancidity.

Linseed, sunflower seeds and hemp seeds are characterized by a high fat content. When fed, the spectrum of essential and polyunsaturated fatty acids is evident in a beautiful coat and healthy skin. The possibility of the formation of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins requires the presence of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which is why they are considered vital. The advantage of feeding intact oleaginous fruits as opposed to pure vegetable oil is not only their long shelf life but also their richness in important accompanying substances. Oleaginous fruits are naturally very rich in high-quality amino acids, but are virtually free of starch and sugar.

Linseed has an immensely high proportion (56%) of omega-3 fatty acids. However, linseed is also known for its content of valuable mucilage, which is able to line and nourish the sensitive mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines. The mucilage is made up of the sugars xylose, galactose and galacturonic acid and has been considered a great aid for digestive problems for thousands of years. The digestion of the mucilage itself takes place completely and naturally in the horse in the last part of the small intestine. Linseed is also rich in lecithin. Lecithin is a component of the cell membrane of animal and plant organisms and ensures that the cells can maintain their membrane.

Sunflower seeds are the oily seeds of the sunflower. They are particularly rich in crude fiber and have a remarkably high proportion of methionine (4g/kg). The oil content is considerable. Sunflower oil is harmonious in its ratio of polyunsaturated fatty acids and natural vitamin E content. Hemp seeds (or hemp nuts) are characterized by a balanced ratio of alpha- and gamma-linolenic acid. Fennel seed is a bread spice and is traditionally considered to aid digestion.

  • Composition
