    Description
  • Dr. Weyrauch Zinkurasan vet

Dr. Weyrauch Zinkurasan vet provides your horse with a tasty product that leaves nothing to be desired! It goes without saying that we do not use any starchy additives, cheap fillers, sweeteners, preservatives or flavorings in Zinkurasan vet. These would slow down the transfer of nutrients. You are also welcome to discuss this with your vet. The trace element zinc is known for its outstanding importance in the regeneration of cells, the immune system and in detoxification processes throughout the metabolism. Zinc deficiencies in horses very frequently manifest themselves in skin and hoof problems, often in itching and allergies. Deficiencies can lead to a general weakening of the immune system and susceptibility to infections, especially during the shedding period.

Mauke, rash, manure and diarrhea as well as the dreaded sweet itch and poor wound healing can be external signs of a deficient situation. Zinc deficiency can also lead to mucosal and fertility disorders. Mucous membranes are located in the gastrointestinal tract, in the respiratory and lung area and in the uterus. Emaciation and loss of appetite as well as a tendency to parasite infestation can also be signs of an inadequate zinc supply, as can nervousness and "ghost vision". The trace element zinc is the biochemical basis for the conversion of ß-carotene into vitamin A and the necessary activation of the vitamins of the B-complex.

The zinc content in hay and other basic feeds has fallen significantly for over 10 years, so that a significant zinc supplement is advisable at least during the change of coat and in genetically predisposed horses (special breeds, ponies).

How do nutrient deficiencies in the trace element zinc manifest themselves?
Skin and hoof problems in horses (itching, poorly healing wounds, parakeratosis, mauke, eczema, hoof rot) can be attributed to a deficiency in the trace element zinc. Other signs of a zinc deficiency in horses can be a weak immune system, a tendency to allergies and detoxification disorders. Feed calculations, hair mineral analyses or blood tests support the diagnosis. Zinc deficiencies in horses are very common and can be caused by an inadequate supply via the basic feed or a pure hay diet. Special requirements (stress, detoxification disorders and special metabolic diseases) should be compensated for by an additional supply of zinc.

    Why Zinkurasan vet?
When feeding unstable or chronically ill animals, a course of high-dose zinc can support the success of the vet's treatment. This includes the entire area of wound healing, mastitis, rash, bloody eczema, hoof cancer or many other diseases of the ectoderm or endoderm.

Zinkurasan vet is a supplementary feed for special nutritional purposes to support the regeneration of hooves and skin.

What makes Zinkurasan vet so special?
There are now an almost unmanageable number of zinc supplements on the market. Zinkurasan vet can be described as a very special zinc supplement. In contrast to other products, it differs not only in terms of the quantity and bioavailability of the zinc compounds used, but also in terms of the carrier material. The special feature of Zinkurasan vet, as with all dr.Weyrauch products, is that selected herbs, roots and fruits are used in a very special weighting to determine the reliability and speed of nutrient transport, which has been scientifically confirmed.

Purely organically bound zinc was chosen for this high-quality product to ensure extremely good availability. This was embedded in a base of pure fruit, herb and spice components in order to promote the transport of zinc via the digestive system through the blood into the cells. dr.Weyrauch Zink has been developed on the basis of many years of scientific work and is highly recommended by modern veterinarians and alternative practitioners. With Zinkurasan vet from dr.Weyrauch, the large horse is supplied with an additional 450 to 900 mg of zinc in the form of zinc amino acid chelate by feeding one to two measuring spoons (10 to 30 g) per day. Feeding is continuous (without daily breaks). After operations, injuries and infections as well as severe wound infections, the zinc requirement increases several times over. In such cases, Zinkurasan vet can be fed in double dosage for a week at short notice. In the case of feed-related sweet itch, the amount fed depends on the intensity of the itching as a measure of the zinc status. Constant feeding over a period of three months requires consultation, as long-term zinc supplementation could provoke copper and manganese deficiencies. Care should be taken to ensure that other trace elements such as iron, zinc, copper and selenium are supplied in line with requirements through mineralized feeding (e.g. Dr. Weyrauch No. 4 Gold Value) in order to avoid any displacement reactions.
