Area of application and advantages:
The AS feed regulator effectively regulates feed intake, leaving the horse maximum breathing space in the nostril area. The AS feed regulator consists of an extra strong plastic base with slits, edged with soft and hard-wearing quality cowhide and is characterized by very easy handling: It is attached with an infinitely adjustable fabric strap using a 'click fastener'. When eating, the horse places the base on the grass and pulls or tugs it through the slits. This encourages slow eating and also thorough salivation of the food. The grazing period can be extended as a result. Horses with too much appetite do not have to be constantly separated from the herd when grazing. This makes them happier and more balanced. Hay feeding is also possible. Drinking from tubs or buckets is also not a problem, although it can lead to problems with some self-watering troughs. We offer these drinkers, with which we have had good experiences. The AS feed regulator is ideal for grazing in spring and when moving to lush pastures. The familiarization phase is exceptionally short and most horses or ponies learn to use this feed regulator very quickly.
Teeth:
Regular dental checks are important, as there is now a plate between the feed and the teeth on the feed regulator. For this reason, we only offer the tooth-friendly rubber plate, which must be ordered separately. This size is suitable for large, strong warmbloods (small, petite WB require size M/L), strong Tinkers, Black Forest horses and Noriker horses. (There are exceptions, of course)
