Offer OKAPI Bergkern in a separate trough (not in the same trough as the concentrate) or in the paddock or paddock trail, protected from rain and ground water.
Salt should always be freely available to horses, which is why salt stones are the best way to provide it. Natural salt stones are preferred by most horses. If the horses frequent the OKAPI mountain core excessively due to boredom or stress, then it should only be offered for a limited time each day, e.g. during grooming.
OKAPI mountain stones are natural salt stones that are extracted in Germany or the Alpine region. Differences in color do not affect the quality. They are due to different contents of other rocks, minerals and trace elements, which naturally vary depending on the deposit. OKAPI mountain cores are untreated and not drilled, size and shape correspond to the natural extraction.
If no suitable stone is available in the size ordered, we reserve the right to send several smaller stones. The weight ordered is decisive.
