Horses receive 1 - 3 kg soaked daily. Ponies receive about half the amount, depending on their size.
OKAPI sainfoin is particularly suitable for feeding older or heavy-fed horses and for horses with gastrointestinal problems. The high content of essential amino acids and condensed tannins makes it a valuable grain-free "concentrated feed" for all horses. The pellets are made from the whole plant.
Due to its pressed structure, OKAPI sainfoin should only be fed soaked. Pour at least three times the amount of water over OKAPI sainfoin and leave to swell until it has completely disintegrated. Warm water shortens the swelling time. Pressing is carried out without the addition of adhesives.
OKAPI sainfoin is not a complete feed and should therefore always be offered together with a high-quality OKAPI mineral feed in addition to a sufficient amount of roughage.
We recommend offering OKAPI four-season feed and OKAPI wild seeds for enrichment with secondary plant substances.
