    Description
  • ReaVet elm bark - 120g

ReaVetelm bark is a finely ground and 100% natural powder. It is obtained from the inner bark layer of the American red elm tree through intensive drying. The special properties of the dried, powdered bark of the red elm are its mucilage-forming and anti-inflammatory components. These support the mucous membranes of the inner stomach and intestinal wall and can contribute to the harmonization of natural stomach and intestinal activity.

The powder is rich in tannins, bitter substances and, above all, mucilage, which produces the desired mucilaginous substance on contact with water. The mucilage covers the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines like a protective film and contributes to rapid relief and harmony of the digestive system, especially after exceptional stress. In cats, the mucilage supports the natural elimination of hair and hairballs in the gastrointestinal tract. Elm bark is particularly well tolerated and has a high level of acceptance. It is therefore particularly suitable for daily feeding in the correct dosage.

  • Feeding recommendation
  • Our experts recommend the following dosage:

    Dogs up to 10kg: 5ml, 2x daily

    Dogs over 10kg: 10ml, 2x daily

    Cats: 5ml, 2x daily

(1 measuring spoon equals 1g) Mix 2g of elm bark with 150ml of cold water until the powder is dissolved and bring to the boil in a saucepan. Continue stirring. After a short boil, remove the pan from the heat and continue to stir briefly. This produces an elm bark syrup. Allow to cool before administering to the animal.

Tip: If your pet is reluctant to accept the syrup, drizzle a little juice from the wet food or meat over the portion of elm bark syrup.

Note: When administering medication, delay administration by 2 hours. If there is no improvement after 7 days, please consult a vet.
