The idea for the company goes back to Elisabeth Pikhart, who took over the recipes for the hoof oil from Ms. Härpfer Horn. Mrs. Horn had developed the formulas over 35 years ago and was a respected expert in the equine world. After her death, Elisabeth Pikhart continued to develop the products and founded the company Huföl. At Huföl, the well-being of the horses comes first. Mrs. Härpfer had always emphasized this and Mrs. Pikhart adopted these values and continues to do so today. The company looks at the horse as a whole and considers not only the hooves, but also the entire course of the disease, the environment and much more when producing the hoof oil.
